“Kevin Durant, I can’t make a jump shot with you on 2K”: Klay Thompson roasts himself and his former Warriors teammate for their Achilles injury recoveries
Klay Thompson has been on the path to recovery from an Achilles injury, but that hasn’t prevented him from roasting Kevin Durant.
Klay, KD and Steph are possibly the greatest shooting trio on the same team in NBA history. All three of them have the ability to put games away in a hurry, all by themselves.
While Steph is undoubtedly the greatest shooter of all time, Klay Thompson has an argument for the most destructive. We’ve seen the other Splash Brother score 37 points in a quarter once. We’ve also seen him knock down 14 3-pointers in 2 and a half quarters. There’s that unforgettable 60-point game against the Indiana Pacers in 3 quarters too.
Watching Klay get buckets with possibly the prettiest jump shot in the NBA is something all basketball fans are looking forward to. Kevin Durant totally belongs in this camp, being one of his close friends and teammates.
Kevin Durant console Klay Thompson as the latter speeds up his Achilles recovery
Klay posted an Instagram video of him shooting corner 3-balls and Zaza Pachulia acting as his rebounder. Klay hit 12 straight 3s from the spot with a set shot, without jumping. This is a routine to keep himself in touch with the hoop while rehabbing his torn Achilles.
Klay captioned his picture with these words: “Best part of my rehab each day: no jumpin’ jumpers aka the easiest rebounding @zazapachulia will ever have to do. Always put the money rack in the corner.”

Kevin Durant then commented about how times have changed, to which Klay replied: “My 2K game is so trash right now I’m deep in the to Mykee there’s no end in sight and for some reason I can’t make a jumper with you bro it makes no sense”
We are pretty sure that Klay is joking, because KD is a cheat code by himself on 2K. Klay probably just loves taking the mickey out of his former teammate, and with good reason.
