Sam Curran and Moeen Ali: The English pair has reached Mumbai to join their IPL franchise for the upcoming 14th season.
England all-rounders in Sam Curran and Moeen Ali have reached Mumbai to join Chennai Super Kings for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League.
In Pune until yesterday for the recently concluded ODI series between India and England, the English pair had a comparatively small distance to cover before reaching Chennai’s bio-secure bubble. Entering from one bubble to another, Curran and Ali won’t have to undergo a seven-day quarantine period before resuming practice with CSK teammates.

Curran, 22, had joined Super Kings last year in the UAE after spending a year at Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Playing under former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Curran proved his mettle across departments. Having scored a career-best 95* (83) although in a losing cause only last night, Curran announced his readiness for the biggest T20 league.
Ali, on the other hand, was bought by Chennai for a handsome price of INR 7 crore in the IPL auction last month. Having spent three years under Virat Kohli at Royal Challengers Bangalore, Ali is highly likely to play a significant role at Super Kings for Dhoni usually likes the kind of utility player that he is.
