“That’s good. We don’t want to hear them anyway”: Bill Belichick hilariously jokes with reporters comment.
Bill Belichick has always been reserved when it came to talking to the media. And this has given the NFL world some of the coldest and funniest replies in press conferences over the years. And Thursday’s press conference added another hilarious highlight in that tape.
The New England Patriots head coach can often be seen giving short, non-revealing answers to reporters and has become somewhat infamous for his press conference antics. Belichick addressed the media ahead of the upcoming NFL draft.
In the Patriots pre-draft media session, Bill Belichick answered questions about the team’s draft plan and speaking about the talented quarterback class. But, it was one exchange with Dan Roche of WBZ that caught the attention of NFL fans.

Bill Belichick had an incredible reaction to reporters comment.
As Roche geared up to ask Bill Belichick a question, he started off asking Bill how he was doing. He responded by saying that he was “good” before asking Roche the same. And when Roche replied “no complaints” Belichick had a reply for the ages.

Belichick was clearly poking fun at Roche with a grin on his face. Dan Roche and Bill Belichick have spent a lot of time in the interview room over the years. In fact, the Patriots head coach sounded rather excited to be speaking with reporters again. “It’s been a while since we’ve been together. I hope everyone is doing well. It’s nice to see a lot of familiar faces here,” Belichick said.

Bill Belichick also spoke about the upcoming draft.
While the Roche comment was the highlight of the press conference, Belichick did add a few points about football. The Patriots took a wild turn from past off-season’s, making a huge splash in Free Agency to make it back into AFC contention. Which is why the New England Patriots will be one of the most interesting teams to look out for in the 2021 Draft.
“As always, there’s some interesting players,” Belichick said. “When you look at the players at that position, I think you see a lot of differences in the 2020 season. A lot of it is by conference, but there are some other circumstances as well. An interesting class.”
Bill Belichick has made a total of 82 draft day trades since becoming the Patriots head coach in 2000.
The next closest team is the Eagles, with 61 in that timeframe.
New England currently owns 10 picks in the draft, starting with 15th overall.

The New England Patriots had a wavered season in 2020. They ended the season 7-9, making it their first losing record in almost 2 decades. Regardless, with the barrage of offseason moves, we could see a turn in events for the 6 time Super-bowl Champs.
