“Dwyane Wade over Steph Curry in the Playoffs any day”: Skip Bayless shockingly leaves the Warriors legend out of his top 20 NBA all-time greats
Skip Bayless says he would take Dwyane Wade over Steph Curry any day in the Playoffs, despite seeing Steph go for 40 every night.
It feels as though as soon as great players start putting up historic numbers, NBA fans and analysts become compelled to see if he could pull his weight against other greats from across the league, or in this case, legends that have passed on from the NBA.
Steph Curry has been on a run like no other. He’s been averaging nearly 40 points since the trade deadline and has shot 55% from 3-point land in his past 5 games.
Curry has dragged a team with no other All-Stars to a 6-2 record in their last 8. They’ve snagged wins against top tier teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, against who he dropped 49 points while raining in 10 shots from beyond the arc.
Amid Steph Curry’s hot streak, Skip Bayless took to Undisputed to compare him to another legendary guard who also helped lead his team to 3 championships.
Skip Bayless would apparently take Dwyane Wade over Steph Curry in the Playoffs
Skip Bayless seems to be less than impressed with Steph Curry’s regular season numbers, as he tells Shannon Sharpe that he would much rather have Dwyane Wade on his team instead of Curry, when going into the Playoff.
His reasoning is that D-Wade’s intangibles swing the balance in his favor. He does try to defend himself by saying he would rather have the 2x MVP over Steve Nash, Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett on his team in the Playoffs.
Shannon pointed out that great as Dwyane Wade was in 2006, 2011 and 2012, Steph’s Finals performances have been more consistent and he’s shot better than the Flash.

Make no mistake, prime Dwyane Wade was an all-timer on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. Dwyane Wade compiled one of the greatest shooting guard seasons of all time in 2008-09.
In that same season, he ranked 3rd in DPOY ranking, while making All-NBA First Team. D-Wade would most certainly bring more to the table when to comes to the defensive end of the floor as Wade could lock up on the perimeter.
However, outright saying that you would take him over Curry 10 times out of 10 is nothing short of lunacy. The proof for this being lunacy is being displayed right before our very eyes night in and night out.
