“I’m really, really good at basketball”: James Harden flexes post-game after his stellar play alongside Kevin Durant in his return from injury against the Spurs
James Harden lays out the obvious and says that he’s really, really good at basketball after dropping 18 point and 11 assists in a win.
The Brooklyn Nets have been having an intriguing season to say the least. They entered the season with championship aspirations and upped their chances of reaching the promiseland by acquiring James Harden mid-season. However, due to a bevy of injuries and absences from their superstars, the trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden has only played a mere 186 minutes together this season.
Whether it was personal reasons for Kyrie Irving, a thigh contusion for Kevin Durant, or a strained hamstring for the 2018 MVP, the Nets haven’t been at full force for a while now. A glimmer of hope for the Nets however would be that the ‘Beard’ not only made his return today against the San Antonio Spurs, but looked great on the floor in limited minutes.
He dropped a casual double-double of 18 points and 11 assists in just 25 minutes of play all while leading Brooklyn to a comfortable win over the Spurs.
James Harden remains to be extremely confident in his abilities on the court.
Following the double-digit victory in Kyrie Irving’s absence, James Harden opened up about coming back after having missed 20 of the Nets’ last 21 games. Unsurprisingly so, the All-NBA guard was very confident in his ability to produce at an MVP caliber level on any day of the week.
“Not to, like, brag or anything, but I’m like, really, really good at this game.”
James Harden wasn’t surprised how quickly he was able to get back into the flow of things for the Nets:

Technically, he’s not wrong. He dropped 18 points on 75% shooting from the field and from 3 last night after having missed a plethora of games. His ability to dictate the offense and get buckets on his accord is unmatched. The Nets sorely missed an offensive orchestrator of Harden’s caliber in games against teams like the Bucks who have a defensive guard as potent as Jrue Holiday.
James Harden will most definitely be the key to Brooklyn’s offense going into the Playoffs, both as a distributor and as someone who can take over games down the stretch.
