“I hope so. That’s my quarterback. That’s our quarterback.” RB Aaron Jones speaks up on the Packers-Rodgers drama.
The Aaron Rodgers alleged dispute with the Packers has dominated much of the headlines this past month. And while many among the Packers locker room are questioning their future in Wisconsin, Aaron Jones doesn’t know anything — and he doesn’t want to either.
After a 13-3 season where Aaron Jones played a very significant role in the Packers, Jones signed his second contract early in the offseason. The former 5th round RB signed a 4 year $48M dollar contract to help continue the Packers dominance at least in the NFC North.

But while everyone in the Packers organisation including Aaron Jones at the time would have expected Aaron Rodgers to be the leader of the team for 2021, times have drastically changed. But Aaron Jones hopes Rodgers would still be his QB.
Aaron Jones says he will wait to see how the situation plays out.
Jones appeared on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Thursday and was asked the burning question about Rodgers.
“I’m just sitting back,” Jones told Rich Eisen. “I mean, I see what everybody else sees. I mean, I haven’t heard from Aaron or anybody, so I’m gonna wait until I get up to Green Bay and see for myself or hear it from him myself. I don’t get caught up in reading the articles and things like that. I just wait until it plays out and control what I can control.”
Asked whether Jones believes Rodgers will be the quarterback when the Packers play the Saints in Week One, Jones said, “I hope so. That’s my quarterback. That’s our quarterback. So I would hope. That’s all I can think. I hope he’s our quarterback. Hope he’s there Week One, handing it off and it all works out.”
Did @packers RB @Showtyme_33 have any contact with @AaronRodgers12 during his free agency period?
Does he have a sense of how AR12 is doing throughout all this wild speculation about the future?

Aaron Jones had another impressive season after his breakout season in 2019. He is coming off of a 2020 campaign in which he ran for a career-high 1,104 yards and added nine touchdowns on 201 attempts in 14 games.
What Aaron Rodgers will do in 2021 is still as unclear as it was when the story broke on draft day. Will Jordan Love be QB1 as the Packers head into next season? Only time will tell.
