“Seriously, how lucky is LeBron James?”: Skip Bayless melts down after AD-led Lakers win vs Suns while his Clippers lose to Luka Doncic
Skip Bayless hits out at LeBron James and the Lakers for being “lucky” in their series against the Chris Paul and the Suns.
This clash between Chris Paul’s Suns, LeBron James’s Lakers has been one of the most exciting series this year. But, it’s not even close to because of what fans expected to happen.
The NBA community was looking forward to seeing a clash between these old friends. They expected to see sparks fly between the two members of the banana boat crew present in this series. However, unfortunately for the Suns, the point-god suffered a right shoulder contusion early in the first game of the series.
Since the injury, while the player has played a bit during games so far, he looks like a shadow of himself. And while the Suns did take game-one, and kept it close in game-2, it is clear they’re hurting at the moment.
This gives the Lakers a clear advantage in the first round. But, while many wouldn’t hold the team accountable for this, it seems Skip Bayless is just built different.
Skip Bayless accuses a higher power of being biased towards LeBron James and the Lakers
If you’re anything but a brand-new NBA fan, chances are you’re already sick of Skip Bayless. The 69-year-old has built up a reputation of hating on players, with his target of choice being LeBron James. And after the Lakers tied up the series in game-2, the analyst let his distaste for LeBron be known yet again on Twitter.
Seriously, how lucky is LeBron??? Chris Paul is so hurt he can’t even play in the 4th quarter, so Lakers finally, predictably are pulling away. Last season the Lakers got to play the 5th seed Heat when Dragic and Bam were hurt. Basketball gods love you, King.

Yep. That’s Bayless alright.
It is incredibly unfortunate for the Suns’ leader to be weakened by an injury at the start of the series. However, taking credit away from LeBron James and the Lakers for their 102-109 victory in game-2 is taking it a bit too far.
Additionally, while the Heat were partially weakened by Dragic and Bam missing for parts of the series, it still went to 6 games, with Jimmy Butler essentially doing his best impression of Michael Jordan throughout.
It is undeniable that the Lakers have been a bit fortunate at times. There is still a series to be played, despite all the injuries. And with the Suns and Lakers tied at 1 game a-piece, this one could be the most interesting first-round matchups to follow, for fans around the NBA.
