“That’s a dirty play!”: Anthony Davis calls out Devin Booker as the Suns’ star shoves Dennis Schroder in the final minutes of Game 3
Lakers’ star Anthony Davis does not like the play Devin Booker made as he pushes Dennis Schroder on the ground during Game 3
The NBA playoffs are a time to rejoice for NBA fans. The games are much more competitive, and the rogue foul calls by the referees are way less. However, not all referees adhere to that. Take Scott Foster as an example. Even in Game 2 of the Nuggets vs Blazers series, there were 52 foul calls, which takes away the fun from the competitive basketball. However, there are some fouls which the referees cannot ignore, at any price. One such was when Devin Booker shoved Dennis Schroder during the final minutes of Game 3 tonight.

The foul had Booker ejected, and sent Schroder to the free-throw line. The referees basically had to contain Anthony Davis and the benches of the two teams from going at one another.
Anthony Davis calls Booker’s foul ‘a dirty play’
The Lakers won their second straight game against the Suns, to now take a 2-1 lead to the series. Anthony Davis once again rose up and led the team. He scored 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. LeBron James scored 21 points and dished 9 assists, whereas Dennis Schroder recorded 20 points of his own. The Lakers seemed like a whole different level of the dominant team back in Staples Center.
After the win, Anthony Davis was stopped for a quick interview, where he made sure to bring up Booker’s foul. Davis called the foul ‘a dirty play’ and said things like these cannot happen.

The play was reckless in nature and could have injured Schroder. Booker may have been frustrated after having an off night, but that does not justify this action. Devin Booker was ejected from the game having scored 19 points, and dishing 6 assists. The Suns would now try to level the series on Sunday, as they face the Lakers for Game 4.
