“LeBron James, the Drama King, leaves with 5:40 remaining”: Skip Bayless roasts Lakers star for going off court to receive treatment as Suns won Game 5 in a blowout
Skip Bayless calls LeBron James “Drama king” for walking off the court with more than five minutes left on the clock.
Skip is perhaps the most infamous LeBron hater in sports media. Known for his hyperbolic and overdramatic takes, he was quick to lash out at James for walking off the court with almost five minutes left on the clock last night as the LA Lakers suffered a humiliating loss to the Phoenix Suns in Game 5.
While LeBron fans might argue that he had nothing left to offer in the blowout game, Skip decided not to hold back at all in his Twitter rant with regards to the superstar’s actions during game five.
Here we go again. The Drama King leaves the bench with 5:40 left in this blowout and walks quickly up the tunnel to the locker room. Guess he doesn’t want to sit through the rest of this embarrassment like his teammates have to. Guess he doesn’t want to be associated w this shame

“Guess LeBron James doesn’t want to be associated with this shame” – Skip Bayless
For far too long, Skip has been in a back and forth argument with co-host, Shannon Sharpe regarding the status of Lebron James being the G.O.A.T (Greatest of all Time).
However, it seems like LeBron walking off the court even before the final buzzer has validated his claims of the superstar never being able to match the greatness of Michael Jordan.
Many believed that game five with such high stakes would bring out the best in LeBron James. Turns out these expectations might have been too high with the Phoenix Suns racking up a 30-point lead in the first half of the game, a deficit from which the Lakers never seemed to recover.
Then again comes the question of how LeBron’s actions might affect the overall morale of the team which would be looking up their leader in a time of adversity such as this.
At the moment, it seems like a lot more is now riding on the shoulders of Anthony Davis who has been out due to a groin sprain which isn’t an injury one can recover from in a matter of days.
With the LA. Lakers now on the brink of being eliminated in the very first round of the playoffs, are we going to witness the end of The King James era?
