“#11 Till I Retire”: AJ Brown Reveals Julio Jones Refused To Switch Numbers, Lets Brown Keep 1
AJ Brown and Julio Jones are already creating chemistry. With a potential jersey number conflict, Brown offered Julio #11, but the All-Pro wouldn’t take it.
Earlier, Brown had hinted towards him working out a solution with Mike Vrabel and Titans staff to give Julio Jones the 11. Jones has rocked the 11 since he was drafted, and so out of common courtesy, Brown was deferring to his elder.

However, the all-pro would have none of it apparently. Brown took to Twitter to reveal that Julio Jones denied the opportunity to change numbers and keep wearing the 11.
AJ Brown Has Respect For Julio Jones After He Turned Down #11, Will Retire Wearing #11
On Twitter, Brown posted a message saying that he would be rocking the #11 till he retired. With Brown and Jones both wearing 11 for all of their careers, it seemed like Brown was the one who was going to have to make an adjustment.
Apparently not.
#11 until I retire . I tried to give it up and he wouldn’t take it . Respect 🤝

AJ Brown has been fired up ever since Julio Jones joined the Titans. He sent out several Tweets warning the league of what was to come, and even in fact, claiming that he manifested Jones’ arrival by “wearing his jersey” in practice.
I was the first player to ever to wear a current player jersey in warmups. I really manifest this before anyone knew 🤝 pic.twitter.com/C6G02F5HbK

Maybe Brown did have a step up over everyone who was attempting to recruit the All Pro receiver. Ultimately, this kind of relationship between Brown and Jones is going to go a long way towards determining how successful they can be.
