“It’s been a really, really hard weekend”– Lewis Hamilton feels disappointed after losing to Max Verstappen in the French GP qualifying.
The French Grand Prix took a competitive turn as usual on Saturday, and despite the claims of Mercedes edging past Red Bull in the standard circuits, Max Verstappen has bummed all of that by defeating the Mercedes duo to bag another pole position.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton, who missed Verstappen by a margin of a two-tenths of a second, feels disappointed for not bagging the desired starting position ahead of the race on Sunday.

According to Briton, he cannot bring the car to a happy place, and he has felt unhappy throughout the weekend in the car, a major statement before the race.
“It’s been a really, really hard weekend. Mentally, and just trying to get the car into a happy place. You wouldn’t believe how many changes I’ve made since Practice One,” said Hamilton.
“Going round and round chasing our tails and ending up coming back to something similar to where we started. So I’ve generally been unhappy in the car all weekend.”
Loving the battle with Red Bull
Whilst Verstappen had a glorious end to the qualifying, even his teammate Sergio Perez took a second row result in the end by being only marginally behind to the two Mercedes aces.
Hamilton, in the end, had to congratulate Verstappen and also commented that the rivalry between Red Bull and his team is making him super-excited.
“Congratulations to Max, they’ve done an incredible job this weekend and they’re incredibly quick. They’ve got a new engine this weekend and they’re quick on the straight. We’re loving the battle,” he said.
Verstappen would be eyeing to grab a win in France to further stronghold his lead in the championship, which he failed to do in Azerbaijan last time.
