“Who should I love?”: Damian Lillard sparks team up rumors with LeBron James and the Lakers following a cryptic message on Instagram
Damian Lillard posts a cryptic message on Instagram, asking his followers who he should love, sparking LeBron James rumors.
With the 2021 NBA offseason in our crosshairs, the trade rumor mill has started to churn out quite a lot of interesting moves from superstars across the league. Damian Lillard has been one of the All-NBA talents that’s been highly touted as being the most desirable piece a championship contender could want going into next season.
Rumors have claimed that teams such as the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics are waiting to jump at the Blazers for a potential trade for Damian Lillard. The latter has also made Jaylen Brown available for any trade revolving around Dame or Bradley Beal.
However, as the NBA goes, the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are at the epicenter of all such rumors. Lillard recently sat courtside at an Las Vegas Aces-Los Angeles Sparks game and bumped into none other than the 4x champ himself. They seemed to exchange pleasantries and this certainly had NBA Twitter speculating about a potential LeBron-Dame team up.
Damian Lillard may be hinting towards a departure from the Blazers and a team up with LeBron James.
As if the videos of Damian Lillard and LeBron James dapping each other up weren’t enough to get Blazer and Laker fans riled up, the former did nothing to put the rumors to rest. Recently. The 6x All-Star took to Instagram to post a picture from the game Sparks-Aces game and typed out the caption, “Who should I love, and how often?”

NBA fans believe Dame is hinting towards the recent events that have taken place within the Portland Trailblazers organization regarded the Chauncey Billups hiring. Lillard was seemingly irked by Blazer fans who condemned him for greenlighting this coaching hire when in reality, according to him, he had nothing to do with.
In all seriousness however, there is quite literally a 0% chance the Blazers accept a Damian Lillard to the Lakers trade without receiving Anthony Davis in return. Talen Horton Tucker, Kyle Kuzma, and a plethora of picks will simply not suffice.
