“Good morning or evening friends”: Devin Booker wakes up with supreme confidence prior to Suns Game 1 victory over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks
Devin Booker nonchalantly takes to his Twitter to greet his followers with a good morning or evening prior to the Suns Game 1 win over Bucks.
NBA fans and media members alike have expressed their shock over seeing the Phoenix Suns, not only make it to the NBA Finals but, be the favorites in the series. However, with the way Devin Booker and Chris Paul have approached these 2021 NBA Playoffs, it should come as no surprise whatsoever that Monty Williams and the Suns have journeyed to the promise-land this season.
With the Suns having the second-best regular season record in the NBA, they possess homecourt advantage in their Finals series against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s safe to say that Devin Booker and the lot are determined to keep this advantage secured as they waltz into a Game 1 victory, at home.
Game 1 seemed like it would delve into becoming a game of runs in the first half but a stellar 3rd quarter performance from Chris Paul put a ton of separation between the two squads. The Bucks would try to recover from this, even bring it back within 7. however, a series of pull-ups from Devin Booker would essentially ice it for the Suns.
Devin Booker woke up with confidence before Game 1 tipped off between the Suns and Bucks.
Devin Booker has been killing it in his first ever Playoffs and sure; he did have a dud of a series ( for his standards at least) against the Los Angeles Clippers as he cooled off after his stellar Game 1. However, this didn’t seem to test his confidence one bit as he woke up and took to Twitter to relay a simple message.
Good morn’ or evening friends
— Book (@DevinBook) July 6, 2021
It’s not uncommon for players to be on social media during important games. Nevertheless, tweeting out a message right before the most important game of your life seems like he’s confident in his abilities to deliver.
Though D-Book didn’t have an all too efficient game yet again, as he shot 38% from the field, he did come up clutch to put distance between the Suns and Bucks when it looked like the latter would be heating up to perhaps tie things up. It’s safe to say that if either one of Chris Paul or Devin Booker going off will be enough for Phoenix to stay competitive.
