“Everything feels a bit lighter after some tequila”: Tom Brady Responds to Stanley Cup Twitter Account After Tampa Bay Lightning Win 2nd Straight NHL Title
Things have been good in Tampa Bay ever since Tom Brady arrived. After the Lightning repeated as Stanley Cup champions, Brady got involved in some Twitter exchanges.
Seemingly reversing years of bad luck, Tom Brady’s move to Tampa Bay has brought some good fortune to the city’s professional sports teams. In his first season in Florida, Brady led the Bucs to Super Bowl victory, right in their own backyard.
On top of this, the Rays made it to last year’s World Series, where they ultimately lost to the Dodgers. They’re on track for another good season, currently sitting second in the AL East at 51-36.
However, Tampa’s resounding success hasn’t been on the Diamond or even the Gridiron: it’s been on the ice. The Lightning beat the Montreal Canadiens in 5 games, making it 2 Stanley Cups in 2 years.

Stanley Cup Account Warns Tom Brady About Another Trophy Toss
After the Lightning wrapped up the series last night, the official Twitter account of the Stanley Cup (as in the trophy) warned Brady that he wouldn’t be able to throw it, referring to the time Brady threw the Lombardi trophy between 2 boats at the Bucs’ Super Bowl Parade in February.
FYI I’m too heavy to throw, @TomBrady.

This morning, Brady responded with a real sense of confidence, claiming that some tequila would enhance his performance. This, again, is a reference to the fact that Brady was perhaps under the influence of (too much) avocado tequila at the boat parade. You just gotta love Tampa Tom.
Idk…everything feels a bit lighter after some tequilla 😂 https://t.co/9l5mL8saoq

If you’re interested in the actual numbers, the Stanley Cup is probably too heavy to throw in reality. It weighs a whopping 34.5lbs in comparison to the Lombardi, which weighs just 7 pounds.
