“LeBron James wants to be beloved whereas Michael Jordan never cared”: Sean Fennessey doesn’t mince words while giving his review for Space Jam: A New Legacy
Founder of The Ringer, Sean Fennessey does not hold back while comparing LeBron James and Michael Jordan in his review of Space Jam 2
King James might have had a rough year due to the first-round elimination of his team LA Lakers in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. However, James’ fans have something to look forward to with the sequel of the cult classic Space Jam out.
Space Jam: A New Legacy was recently released in theatres as well as on HBO Max. The sequel stars the current face of the NBA and 4x champion LeBron James as the lead. The original Space Jam starring Michael Jordan was released 25-years ago, on 10th November 1996. Though the film didn’t open to great reviews, it gained the status of a cult over the years.
The sequel, however, hasn’t opened to great reviews with people criticizing not only James but also Warner Bros for ruining their childhood. Sean Fennessey recently tweeted about the movie and didn’t mince words while talking about it.
LeBron James continues to chase the ghost in Chicago
Sean Fennessey talked about the movie Space Jam: A New Legacy. He took a shot at the Lakers superstar for always trying too hard to be beloved. On the contrary, he mentioned Michael Jordan, who never bothered about people’s opinions.
The only meaningful difference between LeBron James and Michael Jordan is that LeBron is concerned with being beloved. This has been my review of SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY.

With the kind of feedback the movie has gotten on the silver screen, it can safely be said that we won’t see LeBron James acting again anytime soon.
