“Michael Jordan lost to Charlie Sheen and his father in a 2v1”: When the ‘GOAT’ squared off against the legendary actors in 1987
Michael Jordan indulged in a game of 2v1 against Charlie Sheen and his father, Martin Sheen, and would actually go on to lose the game.
The 1980s were a significant point in the history of the NBA as its significance was being felt across the globe. This was thanks to players such as Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and of course, Michael Jordan. Fans from all over the globe were mesmerized by ‘His Airness’ and his unique skillset and it helped that he had the personality to go along with it.
However, as the NBA was catching onto a global market, its effects were fully felt within the United States. Rabid fanbases were already a part of the States and celebrities were getting into it as well. Back in 1987, Martin Sheen and his son, Charlie Sheen challenged Michael Jordan to a variety of basketball related tasks.
The first would be free throws, but since any ordinary free throws would result in an MJ win, there was a catch. Jordan would have to shoot 20 with his eyes closed and the Sheens would shoot 20 with their eyes open. Michael Jordan lost by one point as he drained 11 and the Sheens drained 12.

The second challenge would be a simple game of H.O.R.S.E and it’s obvious that Jordan took the cake here. With it tied 1-1 a piece for both challenges, the tiebreaker was a 2v1 but the Sheens would start with 5 points and the goal for both MJ and the father-son duo would be to reach 11 points.
The game would actually be quite close but the Sheens would surprisingly top Michael Jordan with a final score of 12-11. However, it is clear from the video that MJ wasn’t trying all too much and was mostly settling for jumpers. If he wanted to assert his will on the game, he could’ve and easily won.
Credit to Charlie Sheen though as it looked like he had a solid jumper along with a reliable baby hook shot.
