“Kevin Durant stop lying, Damian Lillard took your ball!”: Nets MVP hilariously squabbles with Bam Adebayo for breaking an unwritten rule in basketball ahead of Tokyo 2020
Kevin Durant wants Bam Adebayo to learn some respect after he doesn’t pass him the ball back during Team USA practice ahead of Tokyo 2020.
After a slow 0-2 start for Kevin Durant and Team USA, the Americans banded together to obliterate Luis Scola’s Argentina and win against Pau Gasol and Spain by a decent margin. Damian Lillard has been leading the way as he has the most points, assists, steals, and threes made for Team USA in these four exhibition games.
With Tokyo 2020 in sights, Kevin Durant and the guys seem to be putting in the work. Multiple videos have surfaced here and there of the Team USA squad running scrimmages and working on their game. With leadership provided from guys like KD, Dame, and Draymond Green, they should have no problem in being the favorites to snag Gold.
The aforementioned workout videos seem to be more than just ones that help sharpen the sword for the NBA stars as it’s looking like their chemistry is also elevating while spending time with one another.
Kevin Durant and Bam Adebayo get into it during Team USA practice.
Ahead of the Summer Olympics, it’s looking like Team USA is having a sort of photoshoot as the starting lineup was seen on a basketball court, surrounded with mini flood lights and cameras. During this practice/photoshoot, Kevin Durant seemingly gets into it with Bam Adebayo over an ‘unwritten rule’ of basketball.
KD calls out Bam for stealing the ball from him after he knocked down a deep corner 3. Adebayo immediately fires back by claiming that the ball isn’t his and that Damian Lillard is the one who stole his ball. This is all happening while Dame is masked up and minding his own business shooting corner 3s.
Stop Lying @KDTrey5 😐. You Saw @Dame_Lillard Take Your Rock. You Just Tried To Little Bro Me 🖕🏾 https://t.co/D8itKlecs6

The ‘unwritten rule’ in play here is that, upon a player making a shot from deep, he must be given respect to by having the ball passed back to him for another shot. Making the shot means he gets the ball back for another shot from similar range and missing the shot usually results in a layup and the other person getting the ball.
Not everybody follows this ‘rule’ to a T but Kevin Durant clearly does and watching him squabble with Bam over it is another reason as to why the Nets superstar should continue being on Twitter.
