"I truly believe in James Wiseman": Miami Heat veteran Chris Bosh has some words of advice for the 20-year old

2x NBA champion Chris Bosh reveals a plan of action for Warriors youngster James Wiseman in the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season.

Though there have been rumors of Warriors packaging a deal with Wiseman and 2021 Draft picks in exchange for an All-Star to join their team, Heat veteran Chris Bosh believes the Warriors should be patient with the 20-year old.

The 2nd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft had a bitter-sweet rookie season with the Dubs. While he did exhibit some great plays during the season, the Warriors center suffered a meniscus tear in April, which would result in him missing the remainder of the season.

Wiseman averaged 11.5 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 0.9 BPG in the mere 39 games he played during the season, shooting an impressive 51.9% from the field.

The idea of having the 7-foot center on the team was to add some size to the roster, which the Warriors clearly lacked.

Miami Heat veteran Chris Bosh had some words of advice for the 20-year old Wiseman, who has often been compared to him due to their similar skill set and size.

Chris Bosh is a firm believer of Wiseman’s talent

As the Warriors enter the 2021-22 off-season, the team has its championship window closing, with Stephen Curry only having a couple of years of his prime left and Klay Thompson coming off back-to-back catastrophic injuries.

The front office does not want to waste the last few years of prime that the splash brothers have left with rebuilding the team.

However, 2x NBA champion Chris Bosh thinks otherwise,

“I truly believe in Wiseman. All he has to do is set screens for Steph and Klay and roll, and he’ll be open all next season, they just have to really enjoy the situation that they’re in right now.”

There is no doubt that the Warriors have the best backcourt in the NBA. However, the Dubs do need a big man who can be a rim protector and add size to their roster.

The Warriors’ front office face a conflicting situation this off-season, on one hand, they require a seasoned player on the squad to win themselves a championship without wasting time, while, on the other side, trading Wiseman could be a mistake as the 20-year old has the potential to be a star.

It would be interesting to see what moves the Dubs make this off-season considering they have 2 first-round picks in the upcoming draft coupled with the splash brother reuniting after the 2019 NBA Finals.
