Justin Herbert had one of the greatest rookie seasons by a quarterback, especially considering that it was never thought he’d start so early.

However, the Chargers rookie seized his opportunity when Tyrod Taylor went down with an injury, and he absolutely exploded on to the scene, running away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Recently, Madden released their ratings for their new game Madden NFL 22, and they’ve been highlighting some of the best players at each position by specific attributes they have.

For example, for quarterbacks, one such attribute includes the throw power rating. Herbert’s strong rookie campaign has definitely given him a good Madden rating, but he’ll definitely want to make it a great one.

Los Angeles Chargers Upset With Madden NFL 22 Underrating Justin Herbert

With training camp in full swing, teams are going to be posting videos of their stars doing crazy things during the practice sessions. The Los Angeles Chargers were no different, and so when Justin Herbert put in a beautiful pass to wide receiver Tyron Johnson, they had to call out EA and Madden.

Madden is usually very dynamic with their ratings as they keep adjusting it throughout the season depending on how well or poorly a player is performing.

If Herbert continues to make throws like that, he’ll definitely see an uptick in his throw power and his overall rating. The second year quarterback has some expectations from this season as the Chargers have a roster that contend for a playoff spot.

After dominating the way he did last year, Herbert definitely has his sights set on winning more games. The Chargers went 7-9 last year, and they’ll hope to turn things around after a solid draft and offseason.
