“We want to win, and if anybody was not with that, then we’ve got issues”: Steph Curry Is Happy With Golden State’s Free Agency Despite Not Landing Big Name Players
Steph Curry is completely on board with the Golden State Warriors as evidenced by his new max-deal, and he also approves of their offseason so far.
The Golden State Warriors are looking to make it back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019 when they had their big-three of Curry, Klay, and KD.
Thompson and Curry have both dealth with injuries over the last two years, and that has kept Golden State out of the playoff hunt. Now, with Klay set to return and Curry playing more and more out of his mind lately, turning in an even more impressive season than his MVP one.
The Warriors didn’t land any big-name free agents, but Curry isn’t too worried about that fact. He knows the Warriors are pushing hard to win, and that’s all that matters.

Steph Curry Says That Whoever Isn’t With The Warriors’ Program Shouldn’t Be On That Vibe
Curry knows that building a championship team is hard, and so he appreciates any efforts that Golden State is making, and this is what he had to say:
“I would be disappointed if there was ever a vibe that you’re complacent or that you’re not proactive and looking to always get better. So if you’re telling me we’re trying to go after Batum, we’re trying to go after Patty, and things didn’t line up like that, then that’s just how the league works. But if there’s ever a situation where you don’t feel that commitment from upstairs, then we have issues. I haven’t felt that this summer.”
The Warriors also had two top picks in the 2021 draft. With the number seven overall pick they drafted Jonathan Kuminga, who’s set to add a lot of defensive versatility and athleticism.
They also added Moses Moody with the 14th overall pick who was a top player for Arkansas last year. He averaged 6.8 points on 42.7 shooting from the floor and 35.8% shooting from long distance on 5.1 attempts per game all while earning an All-SEC First Team nod.

“The draft picks — love ’em. There’s a lot of potential in terms of trying to implement them early and continue to develop them.”
It’s great to see Curry be so committed to keeping the Warriors in a championship mode since Klay is coming back. With both of them set to play, the Warriors should be title contenders once more.
