“If LeBron James did that, we’d be treating him like he killed someone!” Kendrick Perkins slams Kawhi Leonard for his behavior after getting injured in the playoffs
Kendrick Perkins heaps some scathing criticism onto Kawhi Leonard after his recent behavior towards his teammates
Kawhi Leonard is one of the best in the game right now. That really isn’t up for debate.
The man is a terror on both ends of the floor. If you’re playing against him, he is going to yeet away your shot on one end, before yamming hard on you, on the other. He’s one of those players, that theoretically shouldn’t have a weakness. But yet he does.
At the end of the day, Kawhi is human, so it makes sense for him to have some flaws. However, the player can often be a bit too ruthless about certain thoughts and responsibilities.
Obviously, at this point fans know, the man waited a very long time before he signed his extension with the Clippers. But more than that, it was his mentality after he went down in the playoffs that has enraged countless fans. And it appears Kendrick Perkins is no different.
Let’s get into it.

Kendrick Perkins slams Kawhi Leonard for being incredibly shallow when it comes to his teammates
Big Perk has been incredibly passionate about a huge number of takes in the past. However, this one quite possibly takes the cake.
For some context here, after Kawhi Leonard went down during these past playoffs, the man wasn’t with his teammates. He was in the arena, sure, but he was in the VIP seats all the way upstairs. And well, it seems Perkins didn’t exactly take kindly to that. Take a look at the clip in the tweet below.
“Most of the time when you see a guy go down and your team is in the heat of the battle … they’re not in the suite wiggling their toes eating steak and shrimp, they’re down there on the bench encouraging their teammates.”

Yikes.
But we can’t really help but agree, at least to a certain extent with Big Perk here. At the end of the day, while it is only optional to sit with your teammates when you’re injured. But if he was already in the arena at the time, why wouldn’t he just go sit with them anyway?
Sure, Kawhi Leonard is a unique person. But still, we can’t imagine his teammates really liked the gesture at the time.
But hey, winning cures everything right? At the end of the day, even if not this upcoming season, the Clippers do have a championship level team. But can they win it all?
Only time will tell.
