“Richard Jefferson is the reason I am looking overweight on national television”: Kendrick Perkins hilariously calls out Jefferson during a recent episode of The Jump on ESPN
ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins indulges in some self-deprecatory humor while blaming colleague Richard Jefferson for it.
Perkins played the role of a big man to near perfection during his 14-years in the NBA. The former Celtics center played some great bully ball during his career.
The 36-year old used his size and strength to his advantage, something his teammates usually expected from him. However, as years have passed by, Big Perk seems to have put on some unwanted kilos.
Perkins has often been seen indulging in some banter involving his weight. Nonetheless, after a visit from the doctor when he realized he was very close to being a diabetic. Big Perk has taken active efforts in adopting a healthier lifestyle.
3 weeks ago I was 382 and decided to make a change and started this new Diet program called @Awaken180 along with 2 hours of cardio a Day and now I’m down to 349 and got 89 pounds to go!!! Kobe’s on my feet to keep that Mamba mentality and never give up. 🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/AGmSUjAku2

During a recent episode of ESPN’s, The Jump, Big Perk called out Richard Jefferson’s curse on live TV.
Kendrick Perkins jokes about Richard Jefferson and his weight gain on The Jump
KP has always been a big dude, even during his days in professional basketball. However, since his retirement from the sport, the former NBA champion seems to have added a few numbers to his BMI.
Nonetheless, Perkins never shies away from joking about his weight. KP had the following to say while seated without any table covering his extra pounds.
“First of all, I feel like Richard is somewhere in here because this is his seat, and I’m usually seating right there on the side. I’m able to hide everything that I gained when I stopped playing. But now, I’m front and center, so everything is sticking out. I look like a pregnant woman. But it’s all good though.” said Perkins
“I feel like Richard is somewhere in here, like I’m cursed.”
