Ernie Johnson reminds Shaquille O’Neal of having zero 50-points playoff games
While discussing some playoff stats, Ernie mentioned John Wall’s 40-point, 13 assists game against the Celtics in the 2017 playoffs. The veteran host added that this was the first 40-point double-double against the Celtics since Jerry West in 1969.
Ernie would further discuss 50-point playoff games talking of Barkley’s 56-point game against the Golden State Warriors on 23-of-31 shooting.
The veteran host added that Dominique had a 50-point game against the Detroit Pistons on 19-of-28 shooting. As Chuck and Dominique were seen congratulating each other, Shaq asked if he had a 50-point game.
Ernie was quick to reverse the question asking how many he thinks he had and Big Diesel said,” I am gonna at least say one.” to which EJ replied, “No.”
Though Shaq had zero 50-point playoffs game, one cannot deny that Big Diesel was one of the most dominating players in the NBA. Shaq is a 3x Finals MVP and a playoff career 24.3 PPG and 11.6 RPG on 56.3% shooting from the field.
