“Kevin Durant to face LeBron James after 3 years”: Brooklyn Nets to face the LA Lakers on Christmas day
Kevin Durant and his Brooklyn Nets will face LeBron James’ Lakers on Christmas Day of the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season.
One of the biggest highlights of an NBA regular season is its Christmas day matches. The festival day has some of the biggest names in the league face each other.
The Christmas day matches are known for some iconic rivalries, for example, the Bulls and the Pistons in the early 90s. The Warriors and the Cavaliers from 2015 to 2018, and most recently, the Lakers and the Clippers.
The Lakers and the Nets are top contenders to win the chip this year. Recently, the Lakers acquired former MVP Russell Westbrook and former scoring champion Carmelo Anthony.
The Nets are one of the best offensive Big 3 in the history of the league. An interesting observation here is LeBron James would be facing arch-rival Kevin Durant for the first time since the 2018 Christmas game.

No doubt that watching these superteams should be a treat. However, the question remains regarding their health while the Nets have injury-prone stars such Durant and Irving. The Lakers have a relatively old roaster which includes Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook.
