Finn Balor is the latest star to have an injury scare ahead of Wrestlemania 34
Finn Balor is rumoured to be the next name on the casualty list as he seemingly may have injured his shoulder in the clash against The Revival.
The Demon teamed up alongside his NJPW teammate Karl Anderson on the latest edition of RAW. After the victory, Balor was evidently struggling with his shoulder to the extent that Anderson had to raise his other hand for the victory.
The injury might have been caused while Balor delivered one of his signature dropkicks and landing awkwardly in the process. While he was still able to finish the match with his finishing manoeuvres, Balor was clearly seen favouring the arm.
The problem arises from the fact that Balor suffered a major injury to his shoulder during SummerSlam 2016, where he was victim to Seth Rollins’ power bomb to the barricade. The injury forced the star to undergo surgery and extensive rehab which caused him to miss last year’s Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
It seems that Balor might miss “The Grandest Stage Of Them All” two years in a row, if the injury is serious. As of this moment, the extent of the injury is not known.
Finn Balor is advertised for a Fatal-4-way match amongst the losing candidates during the qualification matches for Elimination Chamber spots, with the winner obtaining the final spot in the match to determine the No.1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal title.
Balor put up a memorable performance at the Royal Rumble lasting an impressive 57 minutes before being eliminated by John Cena. Cena further defeated Balor to seal his spot in the Elimination Chamber.
According to latest reports though, Balor’s injury does not look to be serious, as the popular star looks set to take part in a major feud with the Miz at Wrestlemania 34.
A big time IC title clash between Balor and Miz at Wrestlemania will be a fantastic addition to the card, and will surely do wonders to both men. With both stars on the very cusp of returning to the main event scene, this could be one hell of a feud if booked right!
Big news alright!
