Most runs in one over in Test: Highest runs in an over in Test cricket full list
Having built a reputation for himself in the shortest format, England batter Harry Brook hasn’t taken a lot of time in bringing his T20 abilities to the ancestral format. Playing only his second Test match, Brook has already entered the record books primarily due to his attacking instincts.
Brook, who became only the fourth cricketer to hit six fours in an over in Test cricket yesterday, followed the feat with scoring the joint third highest number of runs in an over in the format.
Brook, who had spoiled part-time spinner Saud Shakeel’s Test debut on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, treated debutant spinner Zahid Mahmood in the same manner on Day 2.
Harry Brook !! I knew he was good but I didn’t realise how good … #PAKvENG

It all happened in the 83rd over of the English innings when Brook scored as many as 27 runs in what was Mahmood’s 27th over. The right-handed batter attacked the leg-spinner irrespective of whether he bowled round or over the wicket to hit a total of three fours and two sixes.
Starting the over with a maniac reverse slog which traveled all the way for a six, Brook then took Mahmood to the cleaners hitting him all around the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with a range of shots.
Brook, who hit Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah for a couple of boundaries in the following over, was dismissed in that over right after surpassing the 150-run mark. Brook’s first Test century saw him top-scoring for the visitors with his 153 (116) comprising of 19 fours and five sixes.
