“You Call Releasing a Merchant Of Death Great News?”: Ian Rapoport Brutally Trolled Over ‘Elation Tweet’ Regarding Brittney Griner
WNBA star Brittney Griner is finally coming back to the United States after spending quite some time in war-torn Russia’s prison. Back in February, Griner was arrested at Moscow Airport for bringing Cannabis Oil.
Given how the law operates in Russia in case of a crime like this, innumerable people around the world opined that Griner should have refrained from bringing a controversial substance to an airport.
However, a lot of people also came out in her support and were pressurizing the US government to indulge in talks with the Russian authorities so that the WNBA champion can be brought back to her home.
Finally, the prayers of all her fans were answered when current US President Joe Biden announced that Brittney is coming back to the States.

Fans Are Furious With Biden Administration For Freeing An Arms Dealer To Bring Back Brittney Griner
“I’m glad to say Brittney’s in good spirits, she needs time and space to recover,” Biden claimed at the White House. While many people are celebrating Griner’s release, a lot of Americans are not happy with the price they had to pay to get her back.
The Biden administration was in talks with the Russian authorities for quite some time regarding Griner and both parties finally struck common ground when it was proposed that Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout will be freed by the US in exchange for Griner.
“The Russian citizen has been returned to his homeland,” the Russian authorities said in a statement confirming the smooth conduct of the exchange of prisoners.
As expected, Brittney’s wife was extremely happy after Biden shared the news with the world. “I’m just standing here overwhelmed with emotions,” Cherelle claimed.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport also shared an update on Brittney’s release on Twitter and called it “Great News.” As expected, innumerable people started trolling Rapoport for not understanding how big a price the country had to pay to get Griner back.
You do know we literally released the Merchant of Death for this. An arms dealer running Soviet weapons through Africa that conspired to kill Americans. I get you’re sports ball but sit this one out.

except for that part about an arms dealer getting let out

Great news! She is being treated as a hero that was falsely imprisoned. She did something illegal and now an arms dealer is free. You woke journalists need to find some perspective in life.

Great?!?!? A terrorist goes free for a basketball player who committed a crime that’s technically still illegal in our own country

Rapoport was hammered by the fans who pointed out that there is absolutely no reason to celebrate Brittney as a hero as she did something illegal on foreign soil and ended up becoming the main reason behind the release of a Russian arms dealer.
