What is LaMelo Ball’s Salary? How Much Does Hornets Star Earn For Michael Jordan’s Team?
LaMelo Ball deserves more credit as a player… along with perhaps a far better team around him. The man has had the misfortune of being out with a pesky ankle injury for the majority of this season. However, when he has been on the court, his quality has been remarkable.
LaMelo Ball this season:
• 21.6 PPG
• 7.0 APG
• 44.9 FG%
• 37.9 3PT%
• 58.4 TS% pic.twitter.com/dr2FJxIJ2e— LaMelo Ball Updates (@Meloleague) December 17, 2022
Given his talents, and just how good he has been at such a young age, almost every team in the league would jump at the chance of acquiring him, which begs the question…
How much does he earn right now?
What is LaMelo Ball’s contract with the Charlotte Hornets worth right now?
At this current moment, LaMelo Ball is on his rookie contract, meaning, compared to other NBA players, he isn’t earning all that much just yet.
More specifically, Ball is on a 4-year, $35 million contract at the moment, bringing his average salary up to just under $9 million per season, and he will enter restricted free agency in the 2024 offseason.
Additionally, he is set to receive at least $14.3 million when he hits free agency in 2024. But of course, it will likely be a lot higher than that.
But for now, he’ll have to make do with what he’s got.
LaMelo Ball’s outburst vs Hawks demands a higher-value contract
In his second game back from injury, and just the 4th game this season, LaMelo Ball walked onto the court ready to ball out.
In 32 minutes played, the man recorded an incredible 27 points to go along with 1 steal, and 1 block, while shooting 9 of 18 from the field (50%), and 7 of 13 from deep (53.9%).
Unfortunately for the young man, the next team after LaMelo Ball belonged to Kelly Oubre Jr., who scored a very inefficient 16 points off the bench.
So, due to the man having little help in this game, the final score stood at 125-106.
But, given that the loss means that the team only takes a more resounding lead in the race for Victor Wembanyama, we doubt the fans mind too much.
