REN vs THU head to head: Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunder head to head records in BBL history
The seventh match of the ongoing 12th season of the Big Bash League will be played between Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder at the Docklands Stadium. One of the 17 BBL 2022-23 venues, Docklands Stadium will be hosting its first match of the season tomorrow. In fact, the venue will be hosting its first T20 since the last season of the tournament.
Having won 18 out of their 49 matches, it is noteworthy that hosts Melbourne Renegades don’t have the best of records at this venue. However, the same also has a lot to do with their three consecutive dismal seasons of late. Thunder, who’ve played six times here, have won only twice to also not have encouraging record at the Docklands Stadium. Although by a slight margin, Melbourne (7.80) have a better run rate than Sydney (7.63) at this stadium.

Set to play their second BBL 12 match, Renegades will have eyes on a rare second consecutive victory. Thunder, meanwhile, will be taking the field less than 48 hours after a record-breaking loss against Adelaide Strikers last night. With head coach Trevor Bayliss having already laid emphasis on forgetting an unforgettable match, the same seems to be the only way forward for Jason Sangha and his men.
