STR vs STA head to head: Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars head to head records in BBL history
The 23rd match of the ongoing 12th season of the Big Bash League will be played between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars at the Adelaide Oval tonight. Last BBL 12 match of the year, it will follow the ongoing Sydney Thunder vs Hobart Hurricanes clash in Albury.
Having won three and lost two out of their five matches thus far, Strikers are at the third position on the points table. Stars, on the contrary, are way below at the seventh position after only one out of their five matches till now.
A rare T20 clash between two bowling captains, Adelaide and Melbourne will be locking horns against each other for the first time in almost a year. The last match between these two teams had witnessed Adelaide winning by 23 runs at the same venue. AS, who have won three out of their last five matches against MS, have a phenomenal record at home against this opposition.

Coming on the back of a couple of away losses, Strikers will be desperate to return to winning ways at their home ground on a Saturday night. For the unversed, this will be Adelaide’s 10th consecutive instance of hosting a New Year’s Eve BBL contest. While the home team had won the first six matches in a row, they have lost the last three since then and would be wanting to put behind this losing streak as well.
Set to participate in their first-ever NYE BBL match at this iconic stadium, Stars are also following a common goal of winning a match after three losses in a row.
