“LeBron James Isn’t Playing? Michael Jordan Played 82 Games 9 Times!”: Skip Bayless Mocks Lakers Star for Missing Game With Ankle Soreness
The Los Angeles Lakers are about to snap their five-game win streak. Ever since LeBron James turned 38, the Lakers hadn’t lost a single game. However, it seems like the Denver Nuggets are here to rain on the Purple and Gold parade.
The Lakers are up 2-1 on the season series so far, and tonight the Nuggets have a chance to tie it up. Nikola Jokic and co. would not let this chance slide. What helps their case even further is that LBJ is out for tonight’s game with a sore ankle.

Playing without LBJ, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves, the Lakers are quite shorthanded in Denver. Seeing that LeBron was out for the contest, Skip Bayless couldn’t help but comment about the same.
Skip Bayless mocks LeBron James, calls Michael Jordan ‘no-doubt GOAT’
Having made a career out of hating LeBron James, Skip Bayless had us all confused last week as he showered LBJ with praise. However, he’s back to being himself, as seen by his tweet tonight.
Wait, LeBron isn’t playing tonight at Denver, the best in the West? Ankle injury? Did this happen in practice? No idea. All I know for sure is Michael Jordan played all 82 games NINE TIMES – including all 82 at age 39. The no-doubt GOAT also played 81 one season and 80 another.

LBJ is out due to ankle soreness, and to still say all this, despite him being 38? That’s crazy. Ever since he turned 38, Bron has averaged 38 points in the four contests he’s played.

While Skip compares MJ playing all games at age 38, he also needs to compare the point differential. MJ averaged 24.9 points, whereas LBJ is averaging 38 at 38. Bron’s averaging 29 points per game for the season, which is the highest ever for a player in their 20th season.

Can LeBron lead the Lakers to a playoff berth?
The Lakers are currently in the 11th spot in the West with a 19-21 record. They’re one game behind the 6th-seeded Warriors. With news that Anthony Davis is targeting a return in the upcoming homestand, the pressure would shift from LBJ’s shoulders.
If the Lakers find a way to keep themselves within striking distance, there is a good chance they would secure a play-in berth. The Lakers have a long way to go to secure a playoff seeding.
