“It’s a mantra that I live by”: Warriors Superstar Stephen Curry Etches Bible Verse on his $150 Under Armours for a Reason
Stephen Curry is one of the most successful players in NBA history. The 6’3″ guard has achieved so much, revolutionizing the sport of basketball in the process.
In his 13 seasons in the NBA, Steph has won four Championships, a Finals MVP, two Regular season MVPs, and has made eight All-NBA and All-Star teams. All while becoming the greatest three-point shooter of all time.
However, success didn’t come easy for Curry. He had to work hard to reach this level. Although, he did have some help from the biblical verse he inscribed on his shoes.
Stephen Curry has the biblical verse Philippians 4:13 inscribed on his shoes to motivate him
There can be no denying Stephen Curry’s greatness. The man has done it all, with some help along the way. A great franchise, superb teammates, and his own abilities have pushed him to become an all-time great.
However, there is one more thing that has pushed him every day en route to success. Steph has been writing the Bible verse Philippians 4:13 on his shoes since his time at Davidson College. Constantly reminding him that he can do anything.
“It’s a mantra that I live by and something that drives me every single day. It’ll hopefully inspire people to find something that drives them, whether that’s a verse or some other motivating force that keeps you hungry and keeps you driven. That’s mine, and you can pick whatever yours is and let that drive you, too, as you continue with basketball or whatever field you’re in, in your life.”

A meaningful verse that not only motivated Steph but many others around the world. He will certainly be hoping it can drive him to a fifth NBA Championship.
Steph is looking to go back-to-back and win another championship with the Warriors
Last season, the Warriors shocked the world, winning an NBA Championship when many believed their window had closed. It came thanks to the superb play of Steph Curry. The Dubs managed to win their fourth ring in seven years. Safe to say they’ll be looking to go back-to-back this season.
At the start of every season, we ask ourselves the same question.

All eyes will be on Golden State. They have the skill, they have the talent, and they have the depth. Will they win another ring?
