Tomas Berdych is currently number 19th in the ATP Rankings. He lost in the quarterfinals in the Australian Open earlier this year, and ever since his form has been going down. He also revealed during the clay season about his neck and back injury.
Berdych insisted that he wanted to play Wimbledon this year, but he was forced to pull-off the Championships.
He played the Stuttgart Open last week, and lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament to Milos Raonic. In the Queen’s club, he lost in the first round to Julien Benneteau.
Berdych’s career with relation to injuries has been remarkable, as it is only the second time he has pulled out off a Grand Slam tournament since 2003.
Berdych stated that he hopes to ‘come back healthy, stronger, and better quickly.’
