Is Kyrie Irving Playing Tonight Vs. The Phoenix Suns? Nets Guard’s Availability Update Amidst Kevin Durant’s Absence
Kyrie Irving has had quite the interesting 2022-23 NBA season for the Brooklyn Nets. His absence early on in the season was warranted due to the fact that he had shared a screenshot of a documentary that was filled with antisemitic tropes. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Nets owner, Joe Tsai, condemned this and suspended him.
However, after relinquishing his game checks and also completing a list of objectives that he needed to check off to be reinstated, he would return to the team. Since late November up until Kevin Durant’s injury, the Nets had the best record in the NBA over that stretch.
They would go on a 18-2 game run, which would mark the best 20-game stretch in Nets history. However, with KD having gone down, the Nets have been struggling. To add to that, they have might not have Kyrie Irving either.

Will Kyrie Irving suit up for the Brooklyn Nets against the Suns?
The Nets are set to face off against the Phoenix Suns tonight, a team that has looked like a shell of itself in the first half of this season. Having Kyrie Irving would certainly be a boast for them but he did miss the Nets game against the San Antonio due to right calf soreness.
He was listed as questionable before ultimately being listed as out for the game. Going into tonight’s game against the Suns, he’s currently on the injury report and is being listed as ‘day-to-day’. His status however, is given as probable, which is usually a 75% chance of him playing tonight.
The Suns have quite the depleted roster as well as they two starting guards, Devin Booker and Chris Paul are both listed as ‘out’. Booker is dealing with a groin injury while CP3 is currently nursing hip injury.
