Is Klay Thompson Playing Tonight vs Cavaliers? Warriors Release Availability Report for the 5x All-Star
The Golden State Warriors took a rough beating last night at the TD Garden. Despite building an 11-point lead, the Warriors blew it all in the 4th. Stephen Curry scored 29 points, and Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole added 24 points each. Despite the efforts of the starters, it was the turnovers that resulted in a 121-118 loss.
The Warriors gave up the game, thanks to their 16 turnovers. Even though the Celtics had more turnovers, the Dubs turned the ball over when it cost us the most. The Cs took the Warriors to overtime, and handed them a 121-118 loss.
With this loss, the Warriors now have a 5-18 road record. They cannot seem to get wins on the road, and this problem will haunt them later in the season.
As they head to Cleveland, fans wonder whether Klay Thompson will suit up tonight.
Klay Thompson will NOT play tonight
So far this season, the training staff hasn’t let Klay Thompson play the second night of back-to-back games. We saw the same when the Warriors played the Wizards right after they played the Bulls. The coaching and training staff is trying not to burden Klay and cause him to flare up any of his injuries. They’re taking it easy for his knee, so he doesn’t suffer any unlikely injury before the playoffs.
If the pattern is to be followed, we won’t see Klay Thompson suiting up tonight.
Along with Klay, the Dubs still won’t have James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and JyMychal Green on the floor.
Heading to Cleveland, this would be an important matchup for the Dubs, who fell under .500 again tonight. It won’t be an easy game, but they need this win to make sure they don’t fall too far below the .500 mark and stay within striking distance in the West.
