WATCH: Stephen Curry Continues Being the 'Proud Father of the Boston Celtics', Knocks Down Half-Court Buzzer Beater

The Golden State Warriors blew an 11-point lead against the Boston Celtics on the road tonight. After the win over the Washington Wizards, thanks to Stephen Curry and his 41-point barrage, the Warriors came to TD Garden ready for the Finals rematch.

After a close first half, Stephen Curry got the Warriors a 1-point lead to end the half with his half-court heroics. The Warriors went on to build a lead as large as 11 points but then ended up giving it all up in the 4th.

The game went to overtime, where the Celtics outscored the defending champions 15-12. Even though the Warriors lost the contest, they didn’t do it before Steph gave them a moment to remember for ages.

Stephen Curry knocks down half-court buzzer beater, ‘owns’ the Boston crowd

Even though tonight was just a regular-season matchup, it sure didn’t feel like it. Just like when the Celtics were at Chase Center, the Warriors coming to TD Garden made it a playoff atmosphere. The Boston crowd picked off right where they left off in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Well, if there is a loud crowd, more often than not, you can trust Stephen Curry to silence it. The Chef cooked up some magic and knocked down a buzzer-beater from behind the logo to end the first half.

It wasn’t just the big shot. Moreover, it was Steph yelling, “This is my town!” which would have the fans in splits. This just continued to build up on the dig he took at the Celtics during the ESPYs. In case you missed it, this is what happened at the ESPYs. Kevin Hart wanted Steph to start his speech by saying, “Proud Daddy of the Boston Celtics.”

If there is something big happening in the NBA, you can be sure that NBA Twitter would be there to talk about it. Tonight was no different, as they reacted to Steph’s comment.

Sure, there were salty Celtics fans too.
