WATCH: Roger Federer hits unreal drop shot against Lacko

Roger Federer made short work of Lacko today as he breezed past the Eastbourne finalist to book a place in the 3rd round of Wimbledon.

Federer and Lacko were match each other shot for shot in the first set, before Federer broke him to open the gates.

In the next two sets, Federer broke early and mixed up the pace of the rallies really well to keep Lacko on the back foot.

And every once in a while, Federer slotted in a piece of brilliance during the rallies to keep the crowd entertained.

The shot of the day(or probably the tournament) came early on in the second set, where Federer played a jaw dropping drop shot, to leave Lacko and the crowd befuddled.

The duo were engaging in another of those baseline exchanges, moving each other from side to side and waiting for right opportunity to pull the trigger.

And just when you thought the rally would go on for a little longer, Federer came up with a loopy drop shot, one that significantly rose above the height of net and dropped dead after bouncing on Lacko’s side.

Lacko was left reeling on the baseline, head in hands, as he couldn’t really believe how Federer pulled that off.

Federer will now face Struff in the 3rd round, who overcame the stiff challenge of Ivo Karlovic.

With drops like these in his arsenal, he should be able to cruise through to the 4th round.
