Is Stephen Curry Playing Tonight vs Kings? Warriors Release 2x MVP’s Availability Update Ahead of Game 5

The Golden State Warriors came down from a 2-game deficit and tied the series in game 4. Despite Draymond Green’s suspension in Game 3 and the timeout blunder by Stephen Curry in Game 4, the Warriors still managed to catch up to the Sacramento Kings.

It’s interesting how the Warriors have handled the Kings in this series. Surprisingly enough, the Warriors have made some horrible calls yet managed to overcome Sacramento.

The upcoming game is immensely important for Steve Kerr and his squad. A win would give them an advantage over the Kings for the first time. Fortunately, Stephen Curry, who is without a doubt the best player on his team, is expected to play.

Stephen Curry not listed in the injury report

In the injury report posted by the NBA, Stephen Curry has not been listed by the Warriors. The only two names mentioned in GSW’s injury report are Andre Iguodala and Ryan Rollins.

This effectively means Curry will be available to play tonight. It’s not surprising considering Steph has been healthy this entire series and has shown no signs of being injured or exhausted.

With De’Aaron Fox injured and questionable for Game 5, the Kings will be missing a key scorer. Meanwhile, this will also tip the offense in Golden State’s favor because Curry will suit up.

The upcoming game is crucial for both teams. The Momentum will shift towards whoever can win the game. For the losing side, Game 6 will end up being a decider, so winning this match is absolutely necessary.

Warriors starting lineup for Game 4

Steve Kerr has tested a lot of lineups this season but has mainly played small ball. He prefers relying on faster guards as opposed to big men crowding the post. Heading into Wednesday’s game, Kerr will most likely execute the same lineup as Game 4.

In the backcourt, Stephen Curry will start alongside Jordan Poole. Both Curry and Poole are lethal shooters with a wide variety of shot-making abilities. However, Curry is not the best defender and can often prove to be a defensive liability. That being said, Fox’s injury will give Curry some leeway both offensively and defensively. Meanwhile, GSW’s frontcourt will feature Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.
