Fact Check: Is Tom Brady Really Calling Off His $375 Million FOX Deal?
Seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady, signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports as a lead NFL analyst a while ago. The former NFL quarterback was supposed to take the position immediately after ending his playing career. In February, Brady retired from football, which meant that the star QB would start another chapter of his life as an analyst.
However, that did not happen. Brady initially announced that he is taking a year off before starting his broadcasting gig. However, many analysts are starting to wonder if they would ever see the future Hall of Famer predict games for FOX. One analyst even claimed that the legendary player would not start his career as an analyst.
Will Tom Brady not work with FOX?
Many Brady fans were satisfied that even though their favorite player retired from football, they would see him giving his opinions about the games on the idiot box. However, recently it was reported that sports media insider Andrew Marchand was not confident about Brady’s future with FOX.
He thought there was only a 49% chance that the 15-time Pro Bowler would start his 10-year, $375 million deal. “I’ve talked to a couple of people recently close to Brady and I kind of feel like I’m going more 49% chance he does it, 51% chance he doesn’t,” said Marchand. This surprised Tom Brady himself.

When Sports Illustrated ran the story about Marchand’s prediction, the star QB posted an apparent response. He wrote, “Fake News.” It would be fair to say that Brady annihilated all speculations about him looking to turn his $375 million deal down with two very simple, yet powerful words.
What factors would have kept Brady away from the broadcasting job?
Marchand was of the opinion that Brady’s work ethic would stop him from diving headfirst into a job that required a high amount of effort. Additionally, there were speculations that the iconic QB would want to spend more time with his children, whom he shares with his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen.
Also, the insider thought that Brady would focus on other lucrative business endeavors. After all, the world knows how good TB12 is doing. But now when Tom has made his intentions absolutely clear, fans can excitedly look forward to seeing their favorite athlete giving his football-related opinions.
