Angela Cullen Warms the Hearts of Lewis Hamilton Fans With Strong Message Ahead of Miami GP Qualifying

Ahead of the Azerbaijan GP last weekend, Angela Cullen posted a message for her former employer and close friend, Lewis Hamilton, wishing him good luck. Cullen followed that up by posting yet another picture on Instagram featuring Hamilton, sending him her best wishes as he gears up for the Miami GP qualifying.

Cullen and Hamilton parted ways earlier this year, bringing their seven-year partnership to an end. Over the years, they developed a close bond that they promised wouldn’t dissolve after their separation. Taking Cullen’s recent messages aimed toward Hamilton into account, it’s true that they haven’t stopped caring for one another.

“We all have a unique and individual rhythm that allows us to perform at our personal best,” said Cullen on Instagram. “The secret is understanding how to unlock yours. Quali day!! Let’s go.”

Like always, Hamilton fans were pleased to see Cullen post a message of good luck for the seven-time world champion ahead of yet another race weekend.

Angela Cullen and Lewis Hamilton’s close relationship

Cullen, who hails from New Zealand, initially joined Hamilton as his personal physiotherapist back in 2016. Since then, she went on to become his personal assistant, helping Hamilton with almost everything he needed during a race weekend.

This transpired into a close friendship, with Cullen becoming an integral part of Hamilton’s life, and the Mercedes F1 team. However, earlier this year, Hamilton announced that they both were heading in different directions in life. As a result, they would be splitting up, bringing their seven-year association to a close.

Hamilton was adamant that even though they were not going to spend time together in F1 anymore, outside the track they would maintain the same relationship. It is clear that Cullen keeps a close eye on Hamilton’s performances in F1 as she cheers him on, with messages of good luck being sent out for the 38-year-old for two race weekends in a row now.

Lewis Hamilton aiming for strong comeback in Miami

After finishing P2 in Melbourne, Hamilton was expecting a similar performance at the Azerbaijan GP last weekend. Unfortunately, Ferrari’s pace improved, and a motivated Charles Leclerc took home the final podium place behind the two Red Bulls.

Fernando Alonso too, found his pace late on, to jump the Mercedes drivers and finish P4, and despite his best efforts, Hamilton couldn’t get the better of Carlos Sainz. The Stevenage-born driver finished the Azerbaijan GP sixth, and will be hoping for a much better result at the Miami GP.
