Charles Leclerc Revealed a Major Learning He Took from Former Ferrari Teammate Sebastian Vettel
Charles Leclerc once revealed a major learning he gathered from his former Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel. The Monegasque revealed how the German taught him the importance of taking notes to better communicate with his race engineers. As quoted by Tami, Leclerc once said,
“I asked why he [Seb] carried a notebook with him at all times. And today, I’m the one who has one and I take notes just like he did. I write down everything I feel, everything I experience, everything I say to my engineers”.

Charles Leclerc has often praised Sebastian Vettel for mentoring him
Charles Leclerc joined Sebastian Vettel as a teammate at Ferrari in 2019 when he replaced 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen. The two spent two years together as teammates before the former German driver moved to Aston Martin in 2021.
During their time together, Leclerc often praised Vettel for helping him immensely. As per an interview with racingnews365.com, the Monegasque explained how the four-time Drivers’ Champion taught him the importance of coming in early to meetings and leaving late.
The 25-year-old also added that Vettel helped him understand how taking care of the smallest things makes a difference. Leclerc then concluded his remarks by stating that since he was so young when he joined Vettel at Ferrari, it was a blessing for him to learn from such an experienced teammate.
Leclerc has a disastrous start to the 2023 season
While Sebastian Vettel retired from F1 at the end of last season, Charles Leclerc is continuing to race at the highest level with the hope of achieving his dream of becoming world champion one day. However, to Leclerc’s disappointment, he has had a disastrous start to the 2023 season.
The 25-year-old has already had two DNFs and two seventh-place finishes. The only race which was a positive surprise for him came in Baku two weeks ago when he ended up finishing on the podium. Consequently of such a poor start, the Monegasque finds himself seventh in the championship with just 34 points.
He is 10 points behind his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz and already a whopping 85 points behind championship leader Max Verstappen. After such a horrible start to the new season, Leclerc will now hope to score some good points in the upcoming triple-header.
