Unlike Michael Jordan’s $300,000 Golf Betting Tendencies, LeBron James Pales In Comparison As He Struggles With His Swing
Michael Jordan and LeBron James will always be compared to one another regardless of what topic is brought up. For the most part, comparing their basketball resumes is where the ‘GOAT’ debate between the two should stop. However, many tend to compare them off the court, whether it be through their philanthropic endeavors or even their personal lives. One aspect of their lives that comes up often is their golfing game.
Michael Jordan is an avid golfer and always has been. He first fell in love with the leisure activity back when he was at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He carried that fascination of golf with him to the NBA and never looked back.
Jordan did everything from make bets with shady golf hustlers like ‘Slim’ Bouler to putting $300,000 on the line when out with Charles Barkley on the green. LeBron James on the other hand, never really cared for golf.
LeBron James has a poor golf swing at best
LeBron James isn’t all too much into golfing. This was evident from the fact that his golf swing looked less than subpar when he went to Top Golf. Many golf critiques claimed that his swing was even worse than that of an amateur golfer.
Well there is one thing LeBron James isn’t good at…

James has always been fascinated by other sports however. He never had a golfing background like MJ did when he started off as a collegiate athlete in the early 80s. Around that age, ‘The King’ was one of the best football receivers in the nation, making him a rare dual-sport athlete at the high school level.
He’s also great at bowling, as seen by his victory at Chris Paul’s celebrity bowling tournament back in 2008. LeBron is so out of touch with the game of golf that his own son, Bronny James, was seen having a better golf stroke than him by tenfold.
LeBron James’ teammate once chose Michael Jordan over him
Mario Chalmers was the Miami Heat’s point guard on the championship teams they had when LeBron James was down in South Beach. Chalmers had an icy little brother-big brother type relationship with James throughout their time in Miami.
Most recently, Chalmers went on a podcast and claimed that nobody feared the Cleveland Cavaliers legend like they feared Michael Jordan. He said this despite the fact that he played with James.
