Courtside Fan Sitting On ‘$80,924 Seats’ Spills Drinks on LeBron James, Makes Amends With a Towel During Lakers vs Nuggets Game 2
LeBron James and the Lakers were so close to evening this series out. Unfortunately for them, it just wasn’t to be, as they lost 103-108 in Game 2, resulting in an 0-2 deficit. Throughout this game, there were countless different memorable moments, with LeBron James inarguably having the most wholesome one. And it all came after a fan in one of the $80,924-worth seats spilt a drink on him mid-game.

LeBron James is obviously a big man. He has to oversell any little contact he has with an opponent. And on one such occasion, the man felt as if he had to go sliding all the way into the stands, thudding right into a fan. And from there, we got a little moment of parity, that the fan will likely die before they forget.
LeBron James thanks a fan for his kindness after a drink is spilt on him
LeBron James stands at 6’9” while weighing 250 lbs. This is important because it is largely what makes him a freight train when running at someone, even when he is in control. With that being said, when he is bundling into someone with no control of where he is going, the impact would obviously shake everything he bumps into. And unfortunately for a fan, they witnessed that firsthand.
However, unlike so many of LeBron James’s interactions with courtside fans, this one seemed to have quite a wholesome outcome. Take a look at ESPN’s tweet below to see what happened.

“Thank you!”
Given that LeBron James was the reason his drink spilt in the first place, it would have been easy for the fan to be mad. As some fans have shown in the past, misbehaviour was a possibility too. But all the fan did was provide James with a towel to wipe away the liquid spilt on him. And, of course, LeBron James replied with grateful words.
Overall, it was a moment beyond wholesome in the midst of a game filled with a high level of competition and intensity. And considering LeBron James’s earlier interactions with courtside fans, it won’t come by again soon.
LeBron’s topsy-turvy relationship with courtside fans
LeBron James is one of the greatest ever. Unfortunately, while he is still in the NBA, the only thing that means is that he is more hated than most in the league.
With that being said, it is rather obvious that he will be heckled during every game on the road. But, while that is inevitable, some fans tend to go a bit too far. And in the end, there end up being some ugly incidents because of it. You can read about one of the more infamous ones right here.
