Kenny Pickett, Whose SUV Was Recently Stolen, Almost Lost Steelers’ Playbook Along With the Vehicle
Kenny Pickett, the first-round pick of the 2022 NFL Draft is getting ready to play for the Steelers in his second NFL season. However, the dynamic QB, who is being looked upon as the next big thing in football by Pittsburgh fans, is going through a few troubles in his personal life.. Ahead of the new season, the 24-year-old QB’s car was recently stolen when he was doing a radio interview at a local Chevrolet dealership.
It was reported by Steelers.com that the starting quarterback lost his 2023 Genesis SUV while he was participating in a radio interview with 93.7 The Fan at Bowser Chevrolet on Route 286 in Monroeville.
Pickett’s stolen car was recovered and so was his playbook
The police found the stolen car in the possession of a 60-year-old man named Christopher Carter. The suspect was identified when police reviewed the security footage and found that Carter had entered the dealership just after 1 PM, and left the parking lot in the quarterback’s SUV just before 3:30 PM. The car was reportedly found parked in front of the suspect’s house in Murrysville.

Moreover, as reported by Steelersnow.com, Kenny’s car also contained the playbook for the Steelers. If the playbook had been misplaced or compromised, it would have resulted in significant consequences for Pittsburgh. Thankfully, the playbook has been successfully retrieved and Kenny would be breathing a lot easier now.

Despite Ben Roethlisberger expressing concern about a new quarterback succeeding him and carrying on his legacy, he ultimately acknowledged that his worries were unfounded. Roethlisberger recently claimed that the incoming quarterback has a significant journey ahead. The second-year signal-caller had already shown glimpses of his powerful self in a few games.
