1 Month After Losing Finals MVP Trophy, Nikola Jokic Gets Spotted Tara Rafting on Vacation
Nikola Jokić, as he would likely admit himself, isn’t one of those players who could play basketball forever. Instead, he squarely sees it as a job, that he needs a break from after some time. Fortunately for him, that time for him came approximately 1 month ago.
Being the best player on the championship-winning Denver Nuggets, ‘the Joker’ was awarded the Finals MVP trophy in June 2023. Interestingly, the superstar immediately lost the prestigious award. Recently, with no update having been provided on the whereabouts of the trophy, his offseason plans were spotted in action.
Jokic’s method of informing the public he had lost his Finals MVP trophy was an emphatic one too. Speaking to ESPN’s analyst, Malika Andrews, he admitted that he didn’t know where the trophy was, almost as if it wasn’t something of value. Take a look at the interaction in the tweet by ‘Daily Loud’ below.

Nikola Jokic is having a whole lot of fun back home in Serbia
On multiple occasions ahead of the championship parade, Nikola Jokic talked about how he couldn’t wait to get back home. Since then, for the month he has been back home in Serbia, he has hardly been heard from.
The only thing that is known is that he is spending time with his family, having fun with his horses, and now even Tara Rafting. Take a look at the tweet below by ClutchPoints to see the footage.

It is clear that Nikola Jokic is unlike most NBA superstars. While most have spent either partying or training thus far, the Joker seems to prefer doing outlandish things with his family. Admittedly, it’s hard not to love him for it.
Jokic did not even take a break from his vacation for the ‘Best NBA Player Award’
The ESPYs are an award show dedicated to recognizing the best of the best in US sports. Every year, athletes and personalities alike pour in to watch the event in person, whether they are set to win something or not. However, as it turns out, Jokic truly doesn’t care for these things one bit.
As per NBA.com, despite winning the ESPYs Best NBA Player award, the Serbian superstar wasn’t in the mood to take a break from his vacation. So, despite winning the most sought-after prize in the ESPYs, Jokic didn’t attend the ceremony.
He really just doesn’t care for the things most of his counterparts would likely sign a deal with the devil for. Perhaps that’s what makes him so special.
