Offered $10,000,000 for 3 Albums Decades Prior, Shaquille O’Neal Announces New ‘ThotDaddy’ Album
Shaquille O’Neal just witnessed the biggest crowd of his DJ career in Lollapalooza after returning from a European music tour. Shaq has been a big part of the music industry for decades now, even before his career as DJ Diesel took off. He was even offered a $10,000,000 contract by Jive Records to make 3 hip-hop albums back in 1993. While he eventually declined the offer, the big man has released several tracks in the genre since then. Now, at the age of 51, Shaq has announced the arrival of a new album, along with actor Elijah Everett, which couldn’t be any further from PG-13.
Shaq’s first-ever hip-hop album was a raging success. Released in 1993, it immediately went Platinum, an honor that few artists experience. However, he didn’t just save his rapping for his records only. The big man was known to be a bit of a bully with his words when he was in the mood to roast someone. Much like how he dissed Kobe Bryant by using ‘bars’, the Lakers legend has laid waste to many other personalities in his career. He once even punched a Detroit Pistons player, before making a very good song about it.
Shaquille O’Neal has announced his upcoming ‘THOTDADDY’ album
Shaquille O’Neal has never been the kind of person who would do things without some swagger. However, even by his standards, Shaq’s most recent Instagram reel seems to be in a completely separate stratosphere.
In the video, he partnered up with a good friend of his, actor Elijah Everett. With O’Neal wearing a ‘funky’ wig, the two personalities soulfully announced their new ‘THOTDADDY’ album. Take a look at it in action below.

Admittedly, it is unclear whether ‘THOTDADDY’ is Shaq’s new moniker or the album’s name. Given the playful nature of the Diesel, the reel is likely nothing more than a funny joke. However, this is Shaquille O’Neal we’re talking about. When he is in the equation, anything is possible.
Shaq doesn’t rap too much anymore
Despite showing great pride in his ability to rap in his early years, O’Neal doesn’t seem to rap all that often anymore. While he does have features and singles released more recently, such as ‘King Talk‘, and ‘Bodies Freestyle‘, the former NBA player seems to be focusing most of his time on being a DJ.

To his credit, Shaq has done so with great success, performing in shows all across the world. Most recently, the big man was seen performing in Mykonos, Greece, before his show at Chicago’s Lollapalooza. Even at the age of 51, he doesn’t seem to be in any mood to slow down.
