“Who Is This 6ft 8″ 340lb Beast”: Shaquille O’Neal Unearths Viral D1 Athlete’s ‘Shirtless’ Domination During Local Runs
LA Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal often uses Instagram to give shoutouts to other athletes. This time around, O’Neal shared a clip of a physical phenomenon in the form of Evins Desir, according to What Are NBA Celebs Upto? A former D1 player, Evins is 340 pounds huge and has a unique playstyle. Desir seemed equally adept at shooting from a distance and attacking the paint in the short clip that O’Neal shared.
Desir even played for Florida A&M University for two seasons as a Center, albeit with limited success, according to ESPN. He averaged 9.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in his more successful 2nd season from 26 overall appearances. Hailing from the Middle East, Desir was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Evins Desir is known for his unique playstyle and celebrations
Evins Desir played for the Florida A&M University from 2019-21. A Center by trade, Desir has always been known for his huge size.
Standing at 340 pounds, Desir has a unique playstyle and is equally capable of shooting from deep and attacking the rim. However, the 6 ft 8 in. Center is probably best known for his celebrations.
The clip shows him pull off a range of glorious celebrations. This includes one in which he rips his t-shirt off after scoring on the rim. Regardless, Shaq was left impressed, and ended up sharing a clip that was originally posted by ‘strictlybball’. The clip began with the quote on Desir,
“Who is this 6 ft 8 in, 340 lb beast whose clips have gone viral for his wild celebrations, unique playstyle and massive size?”

O’Neal, himself known for his ability to attack the rim and size, did not quite have the shooting range that Desir seemed to show in the clip. Apart from a few predictable dunks, the clip also showed his shooting prowess from the 3-point zone. Shaq knows that he could have been an even greater legend had he been able to shoot from a distance.
Shaquille O’Neal has often raved about Abiodun Adegoke on Instagram
Shaq regularly posts videos of impressive youngsters and prospects who might one day join the NBA. Recently, he posted about Nigerian starlet Abiodun Adegoke, according to the NY Post. Adegoke recently played in the MPAC Elite Youth League in Dubai and was part of a sports academy back home, as recently as the start of the year.
Adegoke stands at a whopping 7 ft 9″ and is still only a teenager. This means that he will be the tallest player in the history of the NBA if he ends up joining one day. He went viral after a training camp video of his skills garnered attention on Instagram.

Already comprehensively taller than the tallest players in the NBA, Adegoke has a lot in the locker, apart from a size advantage. He is a talented shooter and dribbler and has all the ingredients to one day light up the NBA.
