Travis Hunter Bet $50,000 On NBA2k 1v1 When Deion Sanders’ Colorado Went Down 42-6 To Oregon

Travis Hunter made his debut with a new gaming YouTube channel when the Colorado Buffaloes were off to Oregon. The first video that he uploaded was him playing NBA 2k with his friend and TikTok celebrity Drestoopid. However, it was not just some casual game, there was $50,000 on the line between them.

Recently a video went viral of Travis Hunter streaming NBA 2k on Twitch while Deion Sanders and the Buffs were struggling to put points on the scoreboard against Oregon. Well, the stream in question was his $50,000 game with Drestoopid. A game which he ended up winning, or did he? While on the other hand, Colorado’s blowout loss came as a big heartbreak to the football world.

Travis Hunter Played a $50,000 NBA2k 1v1

Hunter uploaded a 52-minute 30-second video of his stream on YouTube with the title, “Travis Hunter 1v1s Drestoopid on NBA2k24 for 50k! (Things got heated)” Delivering the promise the matchup between two friends was in fact “heated.” Both sides went back and forth with their casual banter when suddenly they agreed to a $50,000 bet on the game.

“It’s gonna be an easy f–kn game boy. You better save my money or you not getting back on that field,” Drestoopid said, teasing Hunter. The game was very competitive between them as they locked horns for a tie and just as Colorado’s Week 3 matchup Hunter and Drestoopid went into overtime for a final decision.

Hunter ended up taking the final lead while Drestoopid kept repeating, “You’re playing computer defense,” until he left the game. It is not yet known whether the transaction of $50,000 actually took place. However, it will be interesting to see Travis Hunter play against some big names in the NFL like Tyreek Hill. Given the competitiveness of both the players, it would certainly be a big hit.

Hunter Gets Denied an Early Return By Deion Sanders

After the embarrassing loss to Oregon, Deion Sanders recently read aloud Travis Hunter’s plea to return during a team meeting. He revealed that Hunter was desperate to hit the field and play for his team in the next game. But Coach Prime denied his request for an early return.

Prime responded to Hunter’s text by saying, “No. You ain’t ready and I care more about you than I care about this game. You gonna change the game of football one day when you healthy and ready. Your future is brighter than mine ever will be and ever was. Relax and get healthy. I love you, son.”

Travis Hunter is certainly the biggest setback for Colorado but his health is the biggest priority to ensure a successful season. Coach Prime and his team have though hit a roadblock on their way but the season will be remembered for good after what the team has done and continues to do for the community of Boulder and the landscape of college sports.
