Reports: Ferrari to give Arrivabene another year, Binotto to take a sabbatical
Arrivabene has had to face the brunt of a failed season for Ferrari, one where despite having the better package, Ferrari and Vettel have failed to secure a lead in the constructor’s and driver’s championship.
Ferrari’s team strategy and lack of coordination and planning during both qualifying and raceday has hurt the team big time and with Arrivabene heading the race operations, it is only natural that people have been calling for his head.
When the Juventus CEO position became vacant, it was reported that Arrivabene, who was almost certain to be sacked from Ferrari would be assuming the role of the new Juventus CEO.
Arrivabene however had brushed aside those rumours, saying that his only connection with Juventus was that he was on the board, and nothing else.
Binotto was set to replace Arrivabene at Ferrari.
If Arrivabene’s move to Juventus happens, Mekies (who started at Ferrari on September 20th) will become the new chief technical officer and Binotto will replace Arrivabene as team principal. #F1

According to fresh reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari have given Arrivabene another year at the helm of affairs at Ferrari.
The Ferrari management have been grieved by Ferrari’s showing this year but are ready to give Arrivabene another go, with the condition being that Arrivabene will have to deliver a world title in 2020.
Thus, if either Vettel is not world champion next year, Arrivabene would be sacked by Ferrari.
Moreover, Binotto is expected to take a break year and could return to Ferrari if Arrivabene is indeed sacked next year.
So Gazzetta reported that Maurizio Arrivabene will get renewed for another season at Ferrari.
Make your own mind what that means for Ferrari and Binotto….#F1

I really can’t be doing with all these rumours that Arrivabene is remaining at Ferrari and thus keeping Binotto shoved in a corner or out completely. Personally I’d love to see Mattia at Haas or Sauber instead. Get out of that sinking ship or be allowed to captain it.

Arrivabene will have one more season to become a world champion with Vettel. If that fails, he must take his bags. Furthermore, reports suggest that Binotto may start to take a gap year to see what will happen at Ferrari. https://t.co/IWkfrd46dm

Do you think Vettel can be world champion next year?
