TIL: F1 drivers used to love a bit of cricket
Formula 1 is certainly very popular in the United Kingdom with the Silverstone GP being on the of most sought after races in a race calendar.
Another sport that is quite popular in the UK is Cricket, one that was invented by the British, and later adopted by a lot of the commonwealth countries like India and Australia.
The British Royalty has often indulged in a little cricket with Prince Charles being a massive fan of the game himself.
Now, with the entire F1 fraternity in Britain for the grand prix in 1974, Prince Charles made it a point to invite the drivers to game of cricket, in order to give them a flavour of the English sporting culture.
In a rare photo that has surfaced on social media today, one can see the drivers from 1974 being pictured in cricket kits for their game agains Prince Charles.
